Our Story
All of Rivelin Valley Soap Co’s soaps, shampoo bars, deodorants and bath bombs are handmade in small batches by Amy. In her kitchen on one of the hills separating the Rivelin and Loxley valleys in Sheffield, she uses traditional Cold Process techniques to create beautiful and unique soaps from natural ingredients. They’re then cured for at least four weeks before being wrapped in planet-friendly packaging just for you.
During lockdown in 2020, we were suddenly washing our hands so much more than usual! But many of the hand washes, synthetic detergents and mass produced soaps were either harsh on our skin or came in single-use plastic packaging. A lover of hand-crafting, Amy decided to have a go at making soap for herself and her family.
This quickly became an obsession and, before long, a business! Afterall, you can only use so many bars of soap yourself!
