Cutting a loaf

Our standard size bars are made as a loaf which is then cut into individual bars around 24 hours later.

When it comes to a soap with multiple colours “swirled” together, every loaf is unique and you can never be sure how those individual bars are going to look until they’re cut.

So the cutting is always an exciting moment!

Sometimes the designs don’t come out quite as planned, but often it’s a pleasant surprise, and occasionally you find a strange image - a ghost, a foetus ultrasound or a superhero logo, for example!
